Biography

Bryan Martin, born on March 15, 1988, is an American country singer-songwriter hailing from Louisiana, U.S.A. Music has always been a constant presence in Bryan's life, thanks to his mother who introduced him to traditional country music at a young age, spotting his talent when he was just six years old. By the time he reached eight, he was performing at local events, taking a step back during adolescence, preferring to dabble in songwriting for personal enjoyment. Working in the oil fields, Martin wrote his first major song, "Louisiana Man," at the age of 20. Uploading his music onto social media, Bryan's 2014 single "Oilfield Dad" garnered more than 150,000 online views, setting the stage for his 2019 debut album, If It Was Easy. This album delved into his battles with addiction and mental health, while also offering glimpses into his upbringing in an oil field family, securing him the Texas Country Songwriter of the Year Award. Bryan's sophomore release, Self Inflicted Scars, dropped in April 2022 and delved even further into his personal challenges, including a suicide attempt at 19. His music has reached an impressive milestone of over 312 million streams globally, featuring the widely shared track "Beauty in the Struggle." Influenced by the traditional country music that shaped his upbringing, Bryan's songwriting prowess extends across a diverse range of genres, from traditional country to southern rock, outlaw country, and country gospel, authoring a catalogue of over 3,000 songs and lending his songwriting talents to other artists such as Lenny Cooper, Tainted Lyric, Jamie Richards, and Austin Tolliver. In March 2023, Bryan released Poets & Old Souls, an album once again marked by introspection and life experience. The single "We Ride" from this album made its mark on the Top 50 country songs chart, landing at number 45.
