Boys Noize is a German DJ, producer and label owner born Alexander Ridha on August 22, 1982, in Hamburg, West Germany. After starting as a teenage DJ and releasing early work through labels such as International Deejay Gigolo, Kitsuné and Turbo, he founded Boysnoize Records in 2005 and developed a hard, club-focused sound rooted in electro house, techno, acid and noise. Boys Noize released his debut album, Oi Oi Oi, in 2007, followed by Power in 2009 and Out of the Black in 2012, which included “Ich R U,” “XTC” and “Got It” featuring Snoop Dogg. Alongside his solo work, Ridha built a parallel career through collaborations, including Handbraekes with Mr. Oizo, Dog Blood with Skrillex and Octave Minds with Chilly Gonzales. In 2016, he released Mayday, featuring Benga, Remy Banks, Poliça, Hudson Mohawke and Spank Rock, and later earned a Grammy nomination for “Midnight Hour,” his 2019 single with Skrillex and Ty Dolla $ign. Boys Noize returned in 2021 with +/- (Polarity), a guest-heavy album featuring Rico Nasty, Kelsey Lu, Chilly Gonzales, Corbin, Jake Shears, ABRA and Tommy Cash. In 2024, he mixed Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross’s Challengers score into Challengers [MIXED] by Boys Noize. He launched the concept label ONES and ZEROS in 2025, then deepened his Nine Inch Nails connection in 2026 through remixes on Tron Ares: Divergence, performances with the band, and the collaborative album Nine Inch Noize.
