After the release of his latest album Norska in 2020—an exploration of uncharted territories inspired by La Horde du Contrevent by Alain Damasio—Sumac embarked on a bold musical journey, gradually moving away from familiar landscapes to craft something new and deeply personal.
Four years later, at the close of 2024, the artist returns with two new singles: "Une Étoile Filante" and "Polaris", both taken from his upcoming album Lyrae.
This fully realized work delves into themes of memory, heritage, and our complex relationship with time—past, present, and future—inviting listeners to confront their own sense of finitude in the face of the inexorable passage of time.
