H&D, a South Korean musical duo consisting of Lee Han-gyul and Nam Do-hyon, debuted on April 21, 2020. Both members had prior experience in the entertainment industry, with Lee Han-gyul previously part of the ballad group IM and both competing in various survival shows, including Produce X 101, where they were part of the debut lineup for the group X1 until its disbandment on January 6, 2020. H&D's debut extended play, Soulmate (2020), featured two title tracks, "Soul" and "Goodnight". Their second release, the special album Umbrella, was released on September 23, 2020, and included the title track of the same name. The duo disbanded in November 2020 as both members prepared to debut in Pocketdol Studio's new boy group BAE173.
