Stella One Eleven, an Australian pop rock band, formed in September 1997 in Sydney. The group was founded by Cindy Ryan when she decided to form a band with her session musicians instead of releasing a solo album. Their debut single "Hard" appeared in 1998, followed by their first album Mr Big Car in April 1999 on Candle Records. The album featured the singles "Only Good for Conversation", which was nominated for Best Independent Release at the ARIA Music Awards of 2000, and "She Lies". In October 2000, Stella One Eleven released their second album In Your Hands on Wow Records, which generated the top 40 single "Go Slow Girl" on the ARIA Singles Chart. The band was appointed official Youth Week ambassadors for 2000 and wrote the theme song for National Youth Week in Australia. After a hiatus, they released their third studio album Stella One Eleven in October 2003, which included the top 40 singles "Out There Somewhere"/"S.S.D." and "She". By October 2005, Stella One Eleven had disbanded, with members Cindy Ryan and Bowden Campbell pursuing solo projects.
