Austin TV, a Mexican post-rock and instrumental rock band, was formed in 2001 in Mexico City by Chavo and Pasa, who shared a passion for punk music. They later met Xna at a concert and formed the band after the dissolution of their previous groups. Austin TV released their EP Austin TV in 2002, followed by their first full-length album La Última Noche Del Mundo in 2003. The band gained recognition for their unique concept of focusing on inner qualities rather than appearances, often performing with masks to emphasize this idea. In 2007, they released Fontana Bella, produced by Emmanuel del Real of Café Tacvba. Austin TV's notable achievements include winning four Indie-O Music Awards in 2008 and performing at Coachella in 2008. The band took an indefinite hiatus in 2013 but returned in 2022 with new music, including the single "De la orquídea y la avispa" and the album Rizoma (2023).
