Trespassers William, an American indie rock band from Orange County, California, was formed in 1997. They released their debut album, Anchor, in 1999 on Sonik Wire Records. In early 2004, the band moved to Seattle and signed with Bella Union after gaining attention from former Cocteau Twins member Simon Raymonde. Their third album, Having, released in 2006, received critical acclaim. The band toured extensively, opening for acts like Mark Burgess and Stereolab, and their music appeared on television shows such as One Tree Hill and Buffy the Vampire Slayer. Despite lineup changes, Trespassers William continued to release music, including the EPs Noble House (2007) and The Natural Order of Things (2009), as well as the compilation album Cast (2012). The band disbanded in 2012 but reunited briefly in 2020 for the single "Winterstorms".
