Andrew Rantzen is a Sydney-based Australian lo-fi electronic recording artist and writer. Rantzen trained as a psychologist and served as a lecturer and tutor at the University of Sydney. Rantzen performed as a member of the electronic duo Itch-E and Scratch-E, also known as Boo Boo & Mace, alongside Paul Mac. Rantzen produced remixes for groups including Severed Heads, INXS, and The Wiggles, and contributed soundtrack material to the film Sample People (2000). In 2001, Rantzen released the debut solo album The Blue Hour.
