Danheim

Reidar Schæfer Olsen, known professionally as Danheim, was born on April 29, 1985, in Brøndby, Denmark. He initially produced electronic music but shifted to Nordic folk and Norse mythology-inspired compositions in 2016. His stage name, Danheim, translates from Old Norse as "Danish home." Notable albums include Munarvágr and Mannavegr in 2017, Friðr and Herja in 2018, and Hringrás in 2019. Danheim's work often incorporates elements from Norse mythology. In 2019, he contributed music to three episodes of the History Channel series Vikings. His online video channel gained significant popularity with over 555,000 subscribers and more than 220 million video views by July 2023. Danheim released Skapanir in March 2020, an album praised for its composition, which he decided to release earlier due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
