Kima

Kima, whose real first name is Akim, is a rapper from Martinique who grew up in a family of artists. His mother, Sista Scénario, is a dancehall reggae singer, and his father is a musician and producer. From the age of 7, he was a regular visitor to the family studio, immersing himself in a variety of musical styles, including trap, dancehall and shatta. In March 2020, he made a name for himself with the track "Sa Dyab", which quickly went viral with over 2 million views on YouTube. In May 2021, Kima released his first project, "La Cour des Grands", a trap-sounding album on which he collaborated with Koba LaD, Gazo, Kalash and Opinel 21. The project was released on the Overseas label, which he co-founded with his manager Tiguere and producer DJ Ken. In 2022, he strengthened his collaboration with Kalash on the track "Médicaments". The following year, in April 2023, he enriched his discography with the album "Baby Project", including the track "Sosa" featuring Niska. In April 2024, Kima continued his ascent with the release of his third opus, "L'École des Stars", featuring fifteen tracks. This album sees the participation of Landy, Jayo, Gazo and Kalash and reaches 79ᵉ position on the French sales chart.
