Tamia Monique Carter, better known as Flo Milli, is an American rapper from Mobile, Alabama, born on January 9, 2000. Inspired by the likes of Jill Scott, Anthony Hamilton, and Erykah Badu, she wrote her first song at nine and started rapping at 11. She formed the rap group Real & Beautiful, later renamed Pink Mafia, which she led until she was 14. Her career took a significant turn in October 2018 with the release of "Beef FloMix," a freestyle that quickly went viral on social media platforms. Following this success, she released the equally viral single "In the Party," which was certified platinum by the RIAA. In 2019, Flo Milli performed at Rolling Loud Los Angeles and signed with '94 Sounds and RCA Records. Her subsequent singles, including "Not Friendly" and "Eat It Up," came out in 2020. In July of that year, Flo Milli unveiled her debut mixtape, Ho, Why Is You Here? which was met with critical acclaim and peaked at number 78 on the Billboard 200. That same year, she signed a global co-publishing deal with Pulse Music Group and featured on remixes and tracks with other artists, including Saygrace and G-Eazy. 2021 saw the release of her single "Roaring 20s" and her recognition as part of the XXL Freshman Class. The following year, she dropped her second mixtape, You Still Here, Ho? an infectious blend of trap and bounce music with a Southern flair. By 2023, Flo Milli had extended her mixtape with new tracks and released several singles ahead of her much-anticipated debut studio album, including "Never Lose Me," which reached number 42 in the US and number 63 in the UK. In 2024, she rounded up a poker-hot rash of talent for her sophomore effort Fine Ho, Stay, which included guest spots from Cardi B, SZA, and others. The LP spawned a Top 20 US hit in "Never Lose Me."
