The band’s lineup includes Patty Walters (vocals), Ben Biss (bass and backing vocals), Dan Lambton (guitar), Rory Lott (guitar), and Ali Appelton (drums). As It Is's ability to balance infectious pop-punk hooks with emotionally charged songwriting quickly garnered them a devoted fanbase, particularly in the US, where they toured extensively. Their sophomore album okay.(2017) marked a significant evolution in their sound, embracing a more polished, pop-driven approach while retaining their trademark emotional depth. In 2025, As It Is released a 10 year anniversary version of their 2015 debut album Never Happy, Ever After, titled Never Happy, Ever After X, with 13 special guests in tow, including Kellin Quinn and Sum 41 guitarist Dave Brownsound.
