Andrew Michael Bayer, born in Washington D.C. on 1 January 1987, is an American DJ and producer who began his musical journey playing the piano as a child. In 2003, he founded the trance music duo Signalrunners with Scottish producer Alan Nimmo, releasing multiple extended plays and remixes through Anjunabeats and founding Fraction Records. His solo career took off in 2010 when Above & Beyond signed him to Anjunadeep, with his debut EP The Taxi Driver following that year. His debut album It’s Artificial was released in July 2011, showcasing a multi-genre approach with tracks ranging from trance to dubstep. He continued exploring different sounds on subsequent albums like If It Were You, We'd Never Leave (April 2013), which included the lead single "Lose Sight" and peaked at number 19 on the US Dance charts; and In My Last Life (August 2018). Throughout his career, he has collaborated with artists like Above & Beyond, contributing to their albums We Are All We Need and Common Ground, for which he received Grammy nominations. He released the Duality album in 2022, which was reimagined for a remix LP in 2023.
