American singer-songwriter Elle King first came to prominence as a teenage actress when she appeared in the cult movie 'Deuce Bigalow: Male Gigolo'. The film was written by her father Rob Schneider who also starred in the leading role. During her early teen years she learned to play guitar and cites artists such as AC/DC, Otis Redding, Aretha Franklin and Earl Scruggs as key musical influences. A pivotal experience during her artistic development came when she attended the famous Buck's Rock Performing and Creative Arts Camp, a summer school in Connecticut for performing arts which helped many young people develop their acting and musical skills.
Her debut album was the critically acclaimed 'Love Stuff' which was released in 2015 and made history by being the first ever number one album to be listed on the newly established UK American Chart. The lead single from the album was 'Ex's & Oh's' which peaked at number ten on Billboard's Hot 100 and launched King's career as an emerging talent on the Americana scene.
