Gaël Faye is a Franco-Rwandan singer-songwriter, rapper and writer.
Influenced as much by Creole literature as by hip hop culture, he released his debut album "Pili-pili sur un croissant au beurre" in 2013 and then his first novel "Petit Pays" in 2016, which met with international success. In 2018, after two EPs, "Rythmes et Botanique" (2017) and "Des Fleurs" (2018), he won the Victoire de la musique "Révélation scène" award, followed by a tour across France.
In 2020, the film adaptation of his novel is released, along with his second album "Lundi Méchant", an album acclaimed by audiences and critics alike (gold disc certification and multiple Victoires de la Musique nominations).
Gaël Faye then returns for his festival tour with the "Mauve Jacaranda" EP, released on July 1st, 2022, which closes a trilogy begun in 2017 with "Rythmes et Botanique", followed by the "Des Fleurs" EP in 2018.
