Europa Galante

Europa Galante is an Italian period-instrument Baroque orchestra founded by violinist Fabio Biondi in 1990. The ensemble gained prominence through its performances at prestigious venues such as La Scala in Milan and the Royal Albert Hall in London. Europa Galante's discography includes notable albums like Caldara: La Passione di Gesù Cristo Signor Nostro (1999) and Vivaldi - Concerti con molti strumenti (2005). The orchestra has collaborated with prominent artists including soprano Sandrine Piau, contratenor David Daniels, and recorder player Maurice Steger. Europa Galante's recordings have earned numerous accolades, including a Grammy nomination in 2006 for their opera Bajazet.
