An Argentinian synthpop band from the capital Buenos Aires, named after the Argentinian actor Osvaldo Miranda, Miranda! has been performing since 2001, the year in which the band made its stage debut. A debut album, Es Mentira, was released the following year. Like its successor Sin Restricciones, released in 2004, it failed to enter the local charts. The latter, however, managed to break into the Mexican charts, reaching number 11. With 2007's El Disco de tu Corazón , Miranda! scored its biggest local success, topping the Argentine charts and reaching number 29 in Mexico. Miranda Es Imposible! in 2009, followed by Magistral in 2011, failed to find a place in the Argentine charts, but the latter, in addition to satisfying the loyal Mexican public (#92), managed to travel as far as Spain, where it reached #90. With Safari, largely driven by the track "Extraño" in 2014, Miranda! experienced its last chart placement, reaching 96th in Spain. Subsequently, neither Fuerte in 2017 nor Souvenir in 2021 manage to rank. In 2025, Miranda! continues its creative trajectory with the release of its tenth studio album, Nuevo Hotel Miranda! unveiled on May 8. This conceptual project extends the universe of their previous opus Hotel Miranda! (2023), reimagining ten of their iconic tracks in collaboration with renowned artists such as TINI, Nicki Nicole, Fito Páez, Vicentico, Ana Mena, Kenia OS, Young Cister, Conociendo Rusia, Leo Rizzi and Abraham Mateo. The single "Me Gusta", a duet with TINI, stands out for its futuristic aesthetic and synth-pop production, marking a highlight of the album. Accompanied by a self-titled tour, Nuevo Hotel Miranda! consolidates the duo's position as key figures in contemporary Argentine pop.
