Creative and innovative harpist, Antoine Malette-Chénier performs a repertoire ranging from Renaissance and Baroque (on period instruments) to contemporary music. A sought-after soloist and ensemble musician, he serves as the principal harpist of the Trois-Rivières Symphony Orchestra and has performed with several ensembles in Canada, France, and the United States, including the Montreal Symphony Orchestra, Les Violons du Roy, the Nouvel Ensemble Moderne, and Les Voix humaines. Antoine Malette-Chénier is the recipient of the 2014 Michael Measures Prize from the Canada Council for the Arts, a 1st prize at the 2013 OSM Standard Life Competition, three 1st places at the Canada Music Competition, and two scholarships from the National Arts Centre Orchestra. A winner of numerous concerto competitions, he has appeared as a soloist with orchestras in Canada, the United States, France, and Hungary. He was a guest artist at the Ottawa International Chamber Music Festival in 2007 and at the 11th International Harp Congress in Vancouver in 2011. He won the "Best Interpretation of a Work, All Styles" award at the 2012 Prix d'Europe Competition, as well as a 2nd prize and the Jury Prize in 2017. A graduate of the University of Montreal, McGill University, and the Yale School of Music, Antoine Malette-Chénier also holds a master's degree in historical harps from the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique et Danse de Lyon.
