Valentina Lisitsa is a classical pianist from Ukraine who learned to play as a child and studied at the Kiev Conservatory before moving to America where she attracted great attention when she began posting music videos on YouTube starting in 2007 with a selection of Chopin etudes. Her 2011 recording 'Charles Ives: Four Sonatas' went to number six on Billboard's Classical Albums Chart and was followed by 'Live at the Royal Albert Hall' in 2012 which reached number 18, 'Rachmaninov: The Piano Concertos/Paganini Rhapshody' in 2013 which peaked at number 16 and 'Love Story: Piano Themes from Cinema's Golden Age' which went to number 19. Her 2018 dates were to include performances in Edinburgh, Cambridge, Italy, America, Macedonia, Belgium, Luxembourg, Singapore, Spain, Switzerland and France.
