I was on a 40-city tour supporting my new record "Dreamers Do" when the pandemic struck. The tour was cut short, and now I'm singing from home, each and every Sunday night. Visit Kat.Live to watch. My band sends me new tracks each week, and I sing my own original songs, plus covers, and YOUR requests. It's "The Kat Edmonson Show"! -Kat _________________________ About 'Dreamers Do': Dreamers Do tells a story for those who dream of a different path in life. A question gets raised in Kat’s vulnerable original, “Too Late to Dream”: “Are the messages we receive about following our dreams as children relevant through our adult life?” The album explores the shared human struggle with daring to dream, illuminating a range of emotional and psychological consequences along the way. Dreamers Do is comprised of fourteen songs, plus interludes. Kat has re-imagined twelve songs from the mid-twentieth century, ten of them Disney songs. She also includes two well-placed originals. The story of Dreamers Do takes place over the course of one, sleepless night. _____________________________ "One of the most beautiful albums of the year" JAZZIZ "Bewitching songcycle from a masterful vocalist" UNCUT "Every track shines here… Edmonson’s delivery is delicate and tender, her material a beautiful bouquet filled with starry skies and happy endings" THE CHICAGO TRIBUNE "Her most ambitiously conceived and perfectly realized record so far" HOUSTON CHRONICLE "Torqued reworkings like the smoky Arabic rhythm of When You Wish Upon a Star are stunning" AUSTIN CHRONICLE "In a World of My Own…[is] a collaboration with the sublime vocal trio Duchess that sounds both vintage and timeless" JAZZTIMES "She’s really got this special presence… her music is like fairy dust. It has this magical… timeless quality to it that it just instantly makes you feel good and settled and childlike, but the good part, where your imagination is still pure. " NPR’s Song Confessional "An oasis of hope, excitement, and optimism" DOWNBEAT
