Lillian Roth, born Lillian Rutstein on December 13, 1910 in Boston, Massachusetts, was an American actress and singer. She began her career at age six as the face of Educational Pictures. In the late 1920s, Roth signed a seven-year contract with Paramount Pictures, starring in films like The Love Parade (1929) and Madam Satan (1930). Her discography includes the albums I'll Cry Tomorrow (1957) and Lillian Roth Sings, both in 1957. Roth's career included significant milestones such as her role in the Broadway production of I Can Get It for You Wholesale (1962), where she starred alongside Barbra Streisand. Despite personal struggles, Roth returned to Broadway in 1970 with Girls, 70. Her autobiography, I'll Cry Tomorrow, was published in 1954 and adapted into a film the following year, starring Susan Hayward. She died on May 12, 1980.
