Franky Wah

​Franky Wah (real name Luke Storrs) is a British house DJ and producer whose emotive, genre-blending sound has made him a standout figure in the global dance music scene. Hailing from Yorkshire, England, his journey into music began in his teens, inspired by West Coast hip-hop and artists like Chicane and Roger Sanchez. He started producing on a modest laptop in his garden shed, eventually refining his craft at the renowned Music Factory in Rotherham and later establishing his own studio in Doncaster. ​He gained significant recognition in 2020 with his track "Come Together," which received extensive support from BBC Radio 1 and was dubbed a "lockdown anthem." The release, under Sony's Ministry of Sound imprint, marked a pivotal moment in his career. ​ In 2019, he launched his own label, SHÈN Recordings, aiming to provide creative freedom and connect with his Chinese heritage. The label has since become a platform for his music and collaborations with artists like Sasha, Cristoph, and Shadow Child. Notably, in 2022, Franky released the 27-track mixtape This Is SHÈN, featuring collaborations with Sasha and Lunar June, showcasing his diverse production style. His music blends elements from trance, breakbeat, afro-house, techno, and beyond, creating a sound that resonates with both underground and commercial audiences. His releases have consistently charted in the Top 5 on BBC Radio 1's Dance Chart and have broken into Beatport's Top 10. He has also signed an EP with the influential techno label Afterlife, becoming one of the few British artists to do so. Beyond his musical endeavors he has expanded his brand with SHÈN Presents Clothing, offering high-quality pieces designed to promote a relaxed yet elevated consciousness. In 2025, he released a new album, The Revival Vol. 2.
