Biografia

Tink is an American rapper, singer, and songwriter. She was born Trinity Laure'Ale Home on March 18, 1995 in Calumet City, Illinois. She picked up the nickname Tink from friends in elementary school. Tink was quickly drawn to music, singing in the church choir and starting to write her own songs at age 11. By the age of 15, she was rapping and recording her own music in her father’s basement. She started to garner some local praise after a video of her and her brother freestyling was shared on social media. In 2012, while she was still in high school, Tink released her 2011 mixtape Winter’s Diary. This was followed by two more releases the following year, and by 2014, Tink had picked up a solid following and had accumulated a backlog of material, having released 5 mixtapes. That year’s mixtape Winter’s Diary 2: Forever Yours was named the eighth-based R&B album of 2014 by Rolling Stone magazine, which increased Tink’s profile. That year, she also collaborated with American singer-songwriter Kelela on the song “Want It.” In 2015, Tink recorded what was intended to be her debut album with producer Timbaland, but the album went unreleased. After becoming a fully independent artist, Tink released her first EP titled Pain & Pleasure (2018). Tink’s first full-length album Hopeless Romantic was released in 2020. The follow-up, Heat of the Moment, was released in 2021; it would go on to peak at Number 54 on the Billboard 200 chart. In 2022, Tink released her new single “Cater” featuring rapper 2 Chainz, which hit Number 24 on the Hot R&B Songs chart.
