I Am Oak from Utrecht, the Netherlands is the band around singer-songwriter Thijs Kuijken. I am Oak released multiple albums since the release of their debut ‘On Claws’ back in 2010. They are known for their folk music with beautiful arrangements; a recognizable own sound, modest and calm songs with guitar at the core. Through the years I Am Oak’s sound has evolved to something bigger and more extensive, with more focus on the piano as well, but the band never lost their distinctive sound.
