Born on March 2, 1990, in Charlotte, North Carolina, country singer-songwriter Luke Combs released his debut EP in 2014 titled The Way She Rides. Since then, his career has gone from strength to strength in the ever-growing market of modern country music. His first taste of music was through performing in vocal groups growing up, including a highlight performing in New York's Carnegie Hall. After the release of The Way She Rides, he went straight into his second EP, Can I Get an Outlaw, and released his first single “Hurricane” shortly after. The single charted at Number 46 on the Billboard Country Airplay chart and earned Combs a reputation as a serious artist. “Hurricane” was re-released the following year and made it to Number 3. His third EP, This One's for You, came in 2015 and just two years later, he won the Country Music Association's New Artist of the Year. He revealed his second full-length album, What You See Is What You Get, for November 2019, preceded by the singles “Beer Never Broke My Heart” and “Even Though I'm Leaving.” 2019 also saw him take home three Billboard Music Awards for Top Country Artist, Top Country Male Artist, and Top Country Album for This One's for You. Released in June 2022 via Columbia Nashville, the LP Growin’ Up became Luke Combs’ third consecutive album to top the country charts in the United States thanks to the Number 1 hit singles “Doin’ This” and “The Kind of Love We Make.”
