The Russian-German music producer and DJ Zedd was born Anton Zaslavski in the Russian Soviet Union on September 2, 1989. He later moved to Kaiserslautern, Germany and from there to the USA, where he built up a remarkable career as a music producer of electro house and pop. After winning two Beatport remix contests, he released his first single "Dovregubben" in 2011. in 2012, together with Max Martin, he produced the song "Beauty and a Beat" for Justin Bieber and Nicki Minaj, which reached the Billboard Hot 100, among others. In the same year, he released his first studio album Clarity, which entered the US album charts at number 38 and reached number 2 in the dance charts. Various singles from the album also made it into the German and British charts, and the track "Codec" was later even used as the soundtrack for the film The Inconceivables. In the fall of 2013, the single "Stay the Night", which was released together with the singer from Paramore, reached the charts in all countries, including the top 10 in Belgium, Ireland, Poland and the United Kingdom. Zedd finally achieved global success in collaboration with US singer Ariana Grande and Swedish musician Max Martin, who produced the global hit "Break Free" together in 2014, which entered the top 10 of the official singles charts in over 15 countries. another hit followed in 2015 with "I Want You to Know", sung by Selena Gomez, before Zedd finally released his second studio album True Colors after two and a half years.
