Biography

Bring Me the Horizon are a British metalcore rock band formed in Sheffield in 2004 by singer and keyboard player Oliver Sykes, guitarists Curtis Ward and Lee Malia, bassist Matt Kean, keyboard player Jordan Fish and drummer Matt Nicholls. They made their recording debut in 2006 with the album 'Count Your Blessings' and while they were known for rowdy concerts, they toured the UK and Europe. They released 'Suicide Season' in 2008 and toured the US with other metal bands. The release went to number 18 on Billboard's Alternative Albums Chart and number 107 on the Billboard 200. Ward left the band in 2008 and Jona Weinhofen came on board the following year until 2013.

Their third album, 'There Is a Hell, Believe Me I've Seen It. There Is a Heaven, Let's Keep It a Secret' (2010) went to number two on Billboard's Top Rock Albums Chart and number 17 on the 200, 'Sempiternal' (2013) reached number two on the Alternative Chart, number three on the Rock Chart and the UK Albums Chart and eleven on the 200. 'That's the Spirit' (2015) topped the Rock and Alternative charts and went to number two on the 200 and in the UK. They have had seven tracks on the Billboard Hot Rock Songs Chart with three in the top ten.

In 2018 the band placed cryptic posters in cities all around the world with the words 'Do you wanna start a cult with me?' and a link to a website. Once on the website it gave the date of 21st August 2018, on which day they released the single 'Mantra' from their sixth album 'Amo', which they released in January 2019.
