We As Human

We As Human was an American Christian rock band from Sandpoint, Idaho. Formed in 2001, they released their debut album, Until We're Dead, independently in 2006. Discovered by John Cooper of Skillet, and in 2011 they released their first major label EP, We As Human EP. The band signed to Atlantic Records and released their full-length album, also titled We As Human, which debuted at number 3 on the Billboard Christian Albums chart and number 8 on the Billboard Hard Rock charts. Notable songs include "Strike Back", which was nominated for a 2013 Dove Award for Best Rock Song of the Year, and their first Number 1 single, "Take the Bullets Away", featuring Lacey Sturm from Flyleaf in May 2014. The band toured with prominent acts such as Avenged Sevenfold, Skillet, Korn, Alter Bridge, Papa Roach, and Shinedown. We As Human disbanded in 2016 following lead singer Justin Cordle's extramarital affair.
