For every mood

Spending his childhood riding bulls and wrestling steers, Ryan Bingham travelled around Texas with his father and uncles competing in rodeos. During these trips he took to strumming away on an acoustic guitar and writing his own songs. As he slowly graduated from the back of a pick-up truck to performing in small bars, bowling alleys and anywhere that would have him, the smokey back rooms, nights spent sleeping on couches and life on the South Western border shaped him into a beloved croaky-voiced Americana singer-songwriter.

Debut album 'Mescalito' earned him comparisons with Steve Earle and Bruce Springsteen, but his big break came when he teamed up with T-Bone Burnett to write songs for the Jeff Bridges movie 'Crazy Heart' in 2009. His theme track 'The Weary Kind' went on to win an Academy Award, a Golden Globe and a Grammy and featured on Bingham's third album 'Junky Star' which reached number 19 on the US Billboard Charts. The deaths of his parents added wrought emotion to his songwriting. At heart, though, his music is of a rambling troubadour who has been touched by tragedy and perspective, and tells his stories through an authentic, whiskey-soaked, Southern rasp. His fourth album 'Tomorrowland' followed and he tried his hand at acting in 2014 when he starred opposite Imogen Poots in indie film 'A Country Called Home'. His fifth album 'Fear and Saturday Night' was released in 2015 with his sixth 'American Love Song' emerging in 2019.
