The Milk Carton Kids

The Milk Carton Kids, an American indie folk duo from Eagle Rock, Los Angeles, consisting of singer-guitarists Kenneth Pattengale and Joey Ryan, began their musical journey in early 2011. After meeting at a solo performance by Kenneth Pattengale, the duo released Retrospect, a live album recorded at Zoey's Cafe in Ventura, California. They joined Joe Purdy’s North American tour as his opening act and backing band. The Milk Carton Kids released their first studio album, Prologue, in 2011, which was well-received by critics and featured the song "There by Your Side", named National Public Radio's Song of the Day. Their subsequent albums include The Ash & Clay (2013), Monterey (2015), All the Things That I Did and All the Things That I Didn't Do' (2018), and I Only See the Moon (2023). The duo has been nominated four times for a Grammy Award. After the release of Christmas in a Minor Key in 2024, the duo returned in 2026 with Lost Cause Lover Fool.
