Dance With the Dead

Dance with the Dead is an American music duo formed in Irvine, California in 2013 by Justin Pointer and Tony Kim. The two had been childhood friends, with Justin primarily playing synths and Tony primarily handling electric guitar, though they may switch roles on stage or in the studio. Their debut album Out of Body was released on October 31, 2013. Dance with the Dead's music blends metal and synthwave, drawing inspiration from horror films. They have toured extensively, including The Shape tour in 2017, Loved to Death tour in 2018, and Driven to Madness tour in 2022. Their album Loved to Death was released in August 2018, self-released rather than under Neuropa Records. Dance with the Dead is featured in the 2019 documentary film The Rise of the Synths, contributing the song "Dead of Night" to its soundtrack.
