Benjamin Ivan Jelen is a Scottish-born American singer-songwriter and musician born on July 8, 1979, in Edinburgh. He achieved professional recognition for a musical career characterized by pop rock and for his debut studio recording Give It All Away (2004) which reached number 113 on the Billboard 200. Jelen achieved professional recognition for a career that began after he moved to New York City to work as a sound engineer and was discovered by Joseph Janus of Fearless Management. His recording career began with the debut studio recording Give It All Away (2004) which featured the hit single "Come On". The single achieved professional recognition for reaching the MTV top 20 and debuting at number 58 on the Hot Singles Sales chart. Jelen achieved professional recognition for leaving the label Maverick Records and independently releasing the extended play Rejected (2005).
