An R&B boys band formed in 1998 by manager Chris Stokes, B2K includes singers Omarion (born Omari Grandberry), J-Boog (Jarell Damonté Houston Sr.), Raz-B (De'Mario Monte Thornton) and rapper Lil' Fizz (Dreux Pierre Frédéric). Short for "Bands of the New Millennium", the Los Angeles quartet had their first hit in late 2001 with the track "Uh Uh", which reached No. 37 on the charts, followed by "Gots Ta Be" (No. 17) and the album B2K (2002), ranked No. 2 on the Billboard 200. Their vocal harmonies and meticulously choreographed routines appeal to a wide audience, who rave about the duet with Puff Daddy "Bump, Bump, Bump", B2K's biggest hit, charting all over the world and reaching #1 on the Billboard Hot 100. Three months later follows the album Pandemonium! (2002), charting at #10 (#3 on the R&B charts) and certified platinum. B2K also produced a Christmas album, Santa Hooked Me Up (October 2002), two remix albums and contributed the track "Badaboom" to the soundtrack of the film You Got Served (2003). Then at the height of their popularity, the boy band broke up in 2004 due to internal conflicts and disagreements with their management over copyright. Their hits were then collected in the Greatest Hits compilation. Omarion pursued a successful solo career, while the other members moved on to other musical activities or television. In 2019, B2K reformed for a Millenium Tour, with no discographic follow-up.
