Lilygreen & Maguire

Lilygreen & Maguire is a Welsh rock ensemble from Newport established in 2011. The group consists of the musicians Jon Lilygreen and Jon Maguire. They achieved professional recognition for a musical style characterized by pop rock. The ensemble was formed after the musicians performed in the ensemble Editions and met at an open mic night in Newport. Lilygreen achieved professional recognition for representing Cyprus in the Eurovision Song Contest 2010. Maguire achieved professional recognition for performing as a member of the ensemble The Story So Far. Their recording career began after signing with the label Warner Bros. Records in 2011. The ensemble achieved professional recognition for the extended play Roll On (2013) and the debut studio recording Have a Good Time All the Time (2013). Their discography included the song “Given Up, Giving Up” (2012) which reached number 141 in the United Kingdom and the song “Ain't Love Crazy” (2012) which reached number 66. They achieved professional recognition for the song “Come On Get Higher” (2012) and the song “Counting Cars” (2014). The ensemble achieved professional recognition for performing as an opening act for the ensemble Westlife and the musician Olly Murs. They achieved professional recognition for collaborating with the musicians Gregg Alexander and Roy Stride. The ensemble became inactive in January 2014 and resumed activity in June 2014.
